THE POSITION
The Confidential Assistant II (Investment), under close supervision, provides entry-level analytical, administrative, and operational support to the Investment Program of the Stanislaus County Employees’ Retirement Association (StanCERA).
Assists professional investment staff by compiling data, preparing routine reports, maintaining documentation, and supporting investment operations related to public and private market investments.
This is a temporary (one-year), non-permanent part-time classification intended to provide practical exposure to institutional investment management within a public pension fund environment.
The Confidential Assistant II performs assigned duties under close supervision and direction and does not exercise independent judgment, decision-making authority, or investment discretion.
The classification is distinguished from the Investment Officer I in that the Confidential Assistant II performs more routine, structured, and closely supervised tasks and does not standardly conduct independent analysis or make recommendations.
