This job involves leading technical projects and research to advance testing and evaluation methods for cyber defense systems within the U.S. Department of Defense.
The role focuses on managing program segments, developing innovative strategies, and coordinating system tests to support national cyber missions.
It's ideal for experienced computer scientists with strong backgrounds in engineering and project management who enjoy tackling complex, high-stakes technology challenges.
This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service.
It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.

It is located in the DISA EIC/ENTERPRISE ENGINEERNG DIR - MODELING & SIM ANALYSIS DIV (ORG OE33). In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.

Basic Requirements: For the GS-1550 Computer Science Series: Bachelor's degree in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science.
At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus.
All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.
Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position.
Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as experience conducting technology project management aspects in project planning, acquisition processes, and software and systems development life cycles, such as requirements analysis, design, testing, implementation, and fielding or experience with software or systems engineering aspect such as systems documentation, configuration management, standards, system integration, security architecture, cost analysis, data administration, systems integration, and testing.
