Full Job Description

You will serve as a Composite/Plastic Fabricator Training Leader in the Production Resources Department of PSNS and IMF.

Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

  • You will conduct formal and organized instruction of subject matter using appropriate instruction techniques, such as: seminar format, group discussion, programmed instruction, multimedia instruction, etc., to maintain student interest.
  • You will develop, maintain, update, and revise lesson plans, training courses, instructional materials, references and visual aids to insure training reflects all the latest changes and requirements.
  • You will develop and conduct tests to measure effectiveness and retention of curriculum, lesson plans, and assignments.
  • You will provide technical advice, guidance, interpretation and application of policies, regulations, and requirements to manager, supervisors, employees, ships force, and contractor personnel.
  • You will demonstrate proper trade techniques and practices, and explains the use of tools, equipment, machines including safety precautions, cleanliness controls, quality controls, and radiological controls, etc.
  • You will develop and maintain an instructor calendar to plan work assignments on an immediate and long range basis.
  • You will ensure submittal of completed student certification records to a qualification data base.
