Job Summary
The Communication program, housed within the Humanities Department, plays a vital role in advancing ACC’s mission by fulfilling core requirements for transfer degrees.
As a foundational discipline, Communication equips students with essential skills in oral and written expression, critical thinking, interpersonal and intercultural effectiveness, all of which rank among the most in-demand competencies in today’s workforce.
As we work to grow and strengthen the program, we are seeking a dynamic, student-centered faculty member who is committed to excellence in teaching and supporting student success.
The Communication Faculty position is a full-time, 9-month faculty position in the Humanities Department. ACC Faculty teach 15 credits each fall and spring semester.
Faculty may have the option to teach courses during the summer semester for additional compensation.
Courses may be taught using both traditional and non-traditional delivery methods, including face-to-face, online, computer-aided, distance learning, self-paced, and interdisciplinary.
Faculty may need to teach at any ACC campus and at a variety of times (days, evenings, and some weekends).

Salary InformationThe projected start date for this position is August 2026. The salary range for this position is $61,940 to $77,239, commensurate with education and experience.
This salary is based on 166 contract days within an academic year (August to May). Salary will be pro-rated based on actual contract days worked. This is a full-time, 9-month, FLSA-exempt position.
This position has been exempted from the State Classified System. AP 3-55 provides information regarding salary placement and adjustments.
