Base salary range: $30,286 - $39,372

The Commissary Contractor Monitor conducts quality assurance inspections and contract surveillance duties of specified commissary stocking, order-writing, custodial, receiving, holding and/or other contracted services performed in a commissary.
Specific assignments vary by individual store and store management requirements.
You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 1101 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date.

Experience can be under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military.
Examples of qualifying experience include: Conducting quality assurance inspections and contract surveillance duties of specified commissary or retail grocery contracted services.
Applying retail grocery store administration policies and procedures as they relate to established contracts. Monitoring vendors and/or contractors in a retail setting to ensure proper inventory.
OR Education: Four (4) years of education above high school can also be used to qualify for this position OR Combination of experience and education.
To calculate the combination, divide your total months of experience by 12, then divide your graduate level semester hours by the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study or 18 and add the two percentages.
If the total is 100%, you meet the minimum qualifications through a combination of experience and education.
You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Additional Requirements that must be met by the closing date: Physical requirements: (1) Work includes long periods of standing, walking, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching and reaching.

Current federal civilian employees must have completed at least 90 days of federal civilian service since being selected for a nontemporary appointment from a competitive examination register of eligibles (an announcement opened to the public) or under a direct hire authority.

Conducts quality assurance inspections and contractor surveillance.
Provides comments and recommendations for additions, deletions, or changes to contractor services to ensure compliance with DeCA directives.
Approves or rejects contractor's work schedule and checks work for quality and timeliness.
Maintains the store's space allocations program by such duties as designating to the contractor proper item shelf locations when shelf tags are missing or otherwise not identifiable.
Advises commissary or contracted order writers. Acts as the commissary manager's representative during the nighttime hours to ensure government property is secure.
