The SEC's Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Reporting (EDGAR) program is modernizing the EDGAR system and expanding our AI-driven development capabilities.
We are in search of experienced cloud developers who are interested in joining a fast-paced, EDGAR team working in service to the public.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: In addition to meeting the basic requirement, applicants must also meet the minimum qualification requirement.
SK-14: Applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS/SK-13 level.
Specialized experience includes: 1) Working as a product owner/product manager/project manager responsible for design, development, and deployment of software or technology systems; AND 2) Eliciting, documenting, tracking, and testing requirements in support of software development or technology systems development; AND 3) Leading teams of people in support of software development or technology systems development.
ACCOMPLISHMENT RECORD COMPETENCIES: Your Accomplishment Record narratives should address the following competencies.

Technology Awareness - Uses technological developments, new requirements, and new applications of information technology (hardware, software, and telecommunications), emerging technologies and their integration into business processes, and implementation of information systems to meet organizational requirements.
Project Management- Uses Agile System Delivery model to develop and deliver AWS based IT solutions to customers at SEC.
Technology Expertise - Knowledge of the principles and methods of specialized technologies, tools, and delivery systems, including security, risk management, governance, functionality, and user interface in area of expertise (e.g., programming languages, server, web, applications, network).
Major Duties:
In this role as a Cloud Software Developer, you will be responsible for: Serving as an IT Specialist (APPSW/INFOSEC) working in the EDGAR Business Office designing, documenting, developing, modifying, testing, installing, implementing, and supporting new or existing applications and software security solutions.
Supporting enterprise services including DevSecOps, data integration, middleware, security solutions, reporting and visualization, and other processes to provide an effective environment for development operations.
Providing technical advice, leadership, and direction on software engineering related projects and associated issues. Creating innovative approaches to solve issues identified by the customer.

Using Agile methodology and DevSecOps framework to monitor and maintain systems development through production delivery.
* The duties of this position may require the incumbent to carry a cell phone and be on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week on a rotational basis, based on the needs of the organization.
