About the Position: This position is located at Fort Polk, Louisiana. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. A recruitment incentive may be authorized. A relocation incentive may be authorized.

  • Responsible for developing, maintaining, and reviewing a Quality Improvement (QI), Quality Assurance (QA), and Quality Control (QC) program for all sections of the laboratory.
  • Develop internal monitors and coordinate and conduct studies to evaluate the quality and appropriateness of patient care provided by the laboratory.
  • Prepare reports on any event or incident related to the quality of service provided by the Department.
  • Prepare the Laboratories and Point-of Care sites for inspections.
  • Plan orientation and training of new personnel and recommend suitability for night and weekend work.
