This job involves managing and supporting the Laboratory Information System (LIS) in a medical center, including maintaining the system, troubleshooting connections between lab equipment and electronic health records, and leading projects to improve lab workflows.
It also includes providing technical help to staff, creating reports for quality checks, and ensuring everything meets health regulations.
A good fit would be someone with lab science experience who enjoys working with technology, has strong problem-solving skills, and can collaborate with IT and medical teams.

Experience: One year of experience in performing the duties of a licensed Clinical Laboratory Technologist in a medical laboratory.
Knowledge of: Principles, techniques, equipment, and terminology necessary for the full range of laboratory diagnosis of diseases and abnormal conditions; Common disease causes; Methods of transmission and control of communicable diseases; Proper laboratory safety procedures.
Ability to: Operate, calibrate, and maintain technical laboratory equipment; Skillfully perform a wide range of difficult standardized laboratory test; Maintain technical records and prepare reports; Establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees; Assist in the instruction of entry level and student clinical laboratory technology personnel in laboratory techniques and procedures.
License of Certificate: Possession of a valid Clinical Laboratory Technologist License issued by the State of California Department of Public Health.
