Summary

This part-time clerk role supports the voter registration and elections team by handling everyday office tasks like checking timecards, entering payroll data, and managing files and communications.

It also involves helping with HR duties such as onboarding new staff and processing leave requests.

A good fit would be someone detail-oriented with basic office experience who can handle sensitive information and occasional after-hours work.

  • At least one year of general office or customer service experience
  • Ability to audit and verify employee time entries and payroll information
  • Proficiency in clerical tasks including data entry, filing, and recordkeeping

  • Availability for on-call rotation, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Description
The part-time clerk provides comprehensive administrative support for voter registration and elections operations. Responsibilities include reviewing and verifying timecard entries for regular and overtime hours for temporary staff, maintaining employee performance appraisals and evaluations, and assisting with job postings and interview scheduling. This position also supports personnel processes by assisting with the processing of Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Workers’ Compensation requests, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely coordination.

Essential Duties
  • Auditing employee time entries and timecards
  • Entering payroll information to ensure accurate and timely payment
  • Performing clerical duties, including recordkeeping, data entry, and filing
  • Monitoring and managing multiple email inboxes and calendars
  • Handling division communications, including phone calls, emails, and correspondence
  • Managing and maintaining filing systems
  • Organizing and sorting timecards and related documents
  • Shredding confidential and sensitive documents
  • Assisting with HR liaison and onboarding duties
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned
Public Speaking Duties
  • Presenting onboarding information to new hires.

Other Job Requirements/Information
  • This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays.
Minimum Qualifications
