As a Clerical Supervisor 2, you will be responsible for overseeing program support personnel assigned to various areas, including Clean Water, Waterways & Wetlands, Environmental Cleanup & Brownfields, and Air Quality.
You will manage staff schedules and coordinate leave requests, ensuring that all team members are effectively supported.
This position involves supervising a diverse team that operates under different scheduling arrangements, such as telework and Alternative Work Schedules.
You will direct activities to guarantee that clerical staff adhere to efficient and effective procedures, maintaining open communication with program managers and supervisors regarding any changes or issues that may arise.
Additionally, you will be tasked with interviewing, hiring, and training new employees to fill vacancies, implementing disciplinary measures when necessary, and addressing operational challenges with program staff as they occur.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
