This position allows you to utilize your experience as you process applications for licensure, renewal, and reactivation, as well as assist with continuing education audits for licensing Boards. Requirements

As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will be responsible for evaluating licensure applications by comparing information provided on the application and attached documents against established laws, regulations, and policies.

You will have the opportunity to discuss licensure eligibility information with the public and interact with applicants, other state agencies, and licensing boards to secure information.

Work involves validating applications for completeness, analyzing and comparing documents, as well as preparing and distributing letters of discrepancy for disapproved applications.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Inputting and tracking data
  • Researching and verifying licensure records
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of current forms
  • Processing continuing education activity

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Work schedule may be negotiable.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, (up to 50%) upon successful completion of the 6-month probationary period.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
