This job is for a clerical assistant in the Pennsylvania State Police's liquor control enforcement office in Williamsport, where you'll handle typing reports, managing office supplies, and supporting enforcement officers and managers to keep things running smoothly.

Requirements

The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will effectively utilize clerical skills, job knowledge, and established procedures to provide staff support to the Williamsport District Enforcement Office. Responsibilities include performing assigned duties and functions efficiently while completing objectives of Liquor Enforcement Officers and management staff of the Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement. Additional duties include typing Administrative Investigation Reports, Initial Crime Reports, letters and memoranda by Liquor Enforcement Officers in the Incident Tracking System. Maintenance and general operation of the District Office Advancement Account and Purchasing (P-Card) procedures to include maintaining a record and ordering of supplies, via the On-Line Account, and Central Supply (Troop F Headquarters).

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday thru Friday with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements (NSRs):
  • All employees must obtain active Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN) certification issued by the Pennsylvania State Police within the probationary period and maintain the same for the duration of employment in this job.

Additional Requirements:
  • One (1) year or more of experience using Microsoft Word.
  • One (1) year or more of experience working in a clerical position.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
