The Department of Human Services, Loysville Youth Development Center (LYDC) is seeking a dedicated Clerical Assistant 2 that will provide quality clerical support services in an organization that takes pride in helping youth. This position is responsible for performing clerical work including typing, account management, filing, receptionist duties, and the application of independent judgment in performing these tasks. Requirements
The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will be responsible for performing a wide range of clerical duties which includes; preparing reports, letters, forms, evaluations, and all other materials deemed necessary by administrative and technical staff in order to ensure clear, professional and effective communication for the residential program. Proofreads typed materials to ensure the transfer of information is typographically and grammatically correct and complete.
The predominant expectation of this position includes critical editing of a myriad of reports; these reports are then submitted to the respective Pennsylvania Juvenile Court Systems. The editing process involves interpretation of data presented in several different disciplines, responsible for producing an accurate execution of the data and must be able to deduce any conflicting information among the disciplines within the completed report. Must be able to apply critical thinking skills so that all information being distributed to the courts systems is presented professionally and accurately, without inconsistencies.

- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday thru Friday with a 30-minute lunch.
- Hours may change based on operational needs.
- Travel and overtime as needed.

Telework: This position may be eligible to telework part time after completing the probation period. Specific details of the telework schedule will be discussed during the interview process.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option o report to the headquarters office in Loysville, Pennsylvania. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
