This role involves leading the state's Chief Technology Organization, managing a large team and budget to deliver technology solutions that support government agencies and millions of residents.

The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.
As a key member of DTMB’s senior management team, the Senior Deputy Director plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the department’s mission, strategic direction, and organizational structure.
This executive leader collaborates closely with DTMB leadership to oversee a $1.8 billion budget and direct nearly 2,700 state employees.
The Senior Deputy Director is directly responsible for the Chief Technology Organization (CTO), which manages a budget exceeding $236 million and leads a team of approximately 600 professionals, including both state employees and contract staff.
The CTO delivers enterprise-wide technology solutions that support 19 State of Michigan departments, 47,000 employees, and digital services for over 10 million Michigan residents.
