You qualify for the GS-15 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the 14 grade level or equivalent performing the following duties: Developing strategic plans that support mission goals, objectives and implementation strategies; Provide analysis and advice on agency-wide programs or issues with organizational or national impact; Preparing investigative reports, studies or presentation that evaluate programs and performance; Recommending and implementing improvements to agency policies, practices, or management processes; and Conducting analytical studies involving planning, development, or execution of major agency programs or operations.
In addition to the above requirements, your resume will be reviewed to determine possession of the following competencies: Strategic Support - Helps the executive focus on vision and strategy by managing and prioritizing projects that don't fit neatly into other departments.
Operational Management - Oversees the daily flow of work, manages calendars, and handles operational and administrative tasks.
Communication - Serves as a central point for communication, drafting internal and external communications, and acting as a proxy for the executive.
Leadership Alignment - Ensures the executive's policy and strategic agenda is communicated and implemented throughout the organization.
Gatekeeping - Controls access to the executive to ensure their time is used effective Problem Solving - Obtains, interprets, and uses knowledge, facts, observations, and data to effectively determine the root causes of issues and to solve problems.
Arrives at solutions and recommendations in logical, analytical, and thoughtful ways. Makes simple and complex decisions in a reasonable timeframe.
Project Planning and Management - Identifies, monitors, and coordinates resources to successfully accomplish project-level and organizational-level goals.
