Full Job Description

Under immediate supervision, is responsible for performing general cashiering duties. Exercises no supervision.

Work Location
5800 Old Highway 90 W.

Work Hours
4:45 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.; Monday - Friday. Other opportunities to work 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.; Saturday. Shifts are subject to change to accommodate evening coverage, rotating weekends, and holiday shift work as dictated by business needs.

Requirements

Issues and/or collects fees for records, taxes, permits, tickets, licenses, and/or miscellaneous documents in accordance with City ordinances and State laws.Issues customer receipts.Operates a cash register.Processes vouchers and prepares cash count reports and daily deposits.Verifies cash amounts to receipts.Reconciles monies for daily financial records.Responds to requests and inquiries from the public.Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.

Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency).

  • One (1) year of cashiering experience.
  • Applicant Information

    Unless otherwise stated, applicants are permitted to substitute two years of related full-time experience for one year of higher education or one year of related higher education for two years of experience in order to meet the minimum requirements of the job.

    One year of full-time experience is defined as 30 or more hours worked per week for 12 months.

    One year of higher education is defined as 30 credit hours completed at an accredited college or university.
