About the position: The primary purpose of this position is to perform receiving and disbursing cashier duties at the Misawa Collocated Club of the 35th Force Support Squadron, Misawa, AB.

This is a flexible category position; guaranteed 0 hours per week, but may work up to 40 hours a week depending on the needs of the facility.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience: Experience in responsible clerical or office work which includes demonstrated ability to perform common arithmetic problems and making change when receiving payments from customers.

Experience in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, or other processing of cash items when this includes (1) direct handling of cash items, and/or (2) use of cash accountability control methods.

Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Must possess skill in dealing with the public.

Condition(s) of Employment: Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required.

May work an uncommon tour of duty to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. **Non-U.S. Citizens must have resided physically in the United States or U.S.

Territory for at least 3 years prior to employment.** Major Duties:

Ensures proper identification is presented before disbursement is made.

Collects cash receipts, cash register tapes, checks, credit card receipts, club tokens, coupons, and other supporting documentation. Prepares and issues change from funds as required.

Prepares bank deposits and ensures daily deposit in a timely manner.

Ensures all monies are accounted for by balancing with the posting of funds placed in the activity's safe before actual bank deposit.

Prepares cash reports and notifies supervisor of any suspected irregularities. Cashes checks and accepts payment for dues and charges to accounts.

Ensures the proper accounting for charge cards, sales slips, and guest checks and ensures they are included within the daily cashier's report. Accepts and processes new membership applications.

May work an uncommon tour of duty to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Performs other related duties as assigned.
