The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Community Access and Eligibility Division, Child Support Services, is seeking a Support Recovery Officer to join our Davenport team to help Iowa families successfully navigate the child support process.
As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in establishing, enforcing, and monitoring child support and medical support orders, as well as encouraging families to provide financial and emotional support for their children.
As a Case Manager in the Davenport Child Support Program, you will manage an assigned caseload, perform complex case management, prioritize tasks and time to meet performance goals and critical deadlines.
Communicate with customers, community partners, human service agencies, employers, court clerks, and attorneys through phone, email and written correspondence to achieve the goals of the Child Support Program.
Build strong working relationships with parents to help them overcome any reluctance to cooperate with Child Support Services and programs.
Independently analyze a variety of complex case situations and legal scenarios to determine the appropriate action to establish, enforce, or modify support.
Use Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook) proficiently. Having the aptitude to learn other computerized systems, including ICAR, is critically important for success in this position.
Must comprehend and adhere to all confidentiality provisions in the Code of Iowa.
