Advertised Job Summary
This position will manage financial operations, human resources and facilities for the Anne Frank Center.
The Business Manager will also support the Executive Director with planning, scheduling, calendar coordination and communications, while overseeing delegation processes and tracking active commitments, projects, and action items to ensure timely follow-through.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with budgets in a higher education setting.
• Experience working PeopleSoft/Oracle’s Human Capital Management Systems highly desired.
• Experience working within a nonprofit organization setting.
• Knowledge of the Holocaust and human rights.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
• Familiarity with academic/university systems and processes.
• Knowledge of state laws and regulations pertaining to university finances.
• Knowledge of financial statement analysis.
• Knowledge of accounting and business practices in relation to state procurement and fiscal reporting.
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data, records and reports.
• The ability to balance and reconcile accounts.
• Act as a liaison with internal and external departments and agencies.
• Ability to read and understand reporting tools and general ledgers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
• Ability to write memos, letters, and other documents clearly and accurately.
• Ability to present information, which may be complicated in nature, in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong interpersonal skills sufficient to inspire, lead, and work effectively with diverse groups.
• Ability to manage work and provide guidance to employees.
• Ability to effectively direct, manage, and lead professional and support staff.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with proven ability to strategize, prioritize, and multi-task to meet goals and deadlines.
• Be self-directed and have strong organizational skills with the ability to organize workflow and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
