The Department of Human Services is seeking a Business Analyst 2 to manage data integrity within Certification, Child Care Works, Keys to Quality, Early Learning Network and Pre-K Counts. Requirements

As a Business Analyst 2, you will perform analytical work by documenting, enhancing, and maintaining Pennsylvania's Enterprise to Link Information for Children Across Networks (PELICAN) and various other systems.

Analytical work extends to reviewing data integrity and testing system functionality.

You will be responsible for assisting as a help desk support, ensuring issues are documented and resolved in a timely manner.

This role reviews, edits, and approves training materials with program and policy staff for distribution to end users.

Participation in new project meetings is necessary to provide guidance, mediate disagreements, and document critical information.

Additionally, you will assist in office provider management efforts such as data clean up and analysis of policies governing provider data.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • This position may require travel. Expenses will be paid.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Business Analyst 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year as an Information Technology Trainee (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Five years of business process analysis experience; or
  • One year of business process analysis experience and a bachelor’s degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:
