Full Job Description

You will serve as a BUSINESS ANALYST in the Commander Navy Region Southwest (CNRSW) of COMNAVREGSW SDIEGO.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Analyzing program performance data to identify issues, make recommendations for improvement, and drive innovation; 2) Analyzing and interpreting complex intricacies involved in the application of related laws, regulations, policies, precedents, methods and techniques of program management and planning, as well as resource management; 3) Serving as technical advisor to program managers/directors on business performance tools and processes; 4) Addressing prospective changes in functions and programs in short and long-range planning for a large organization; 5) Analyzing resource program effectiveness and developing recommendations for Senior Leadership; 6) Developing and recommending changes to measure program accomplishments, results or effectiveness.

Additional Information (Continued): Physical Demands The work is sedentary, although carrying boxes of documents may be required from time to time.

Travel to Region installation, customer activities, working meeting/conferences and head quarters is required.

Work Environment The work environment includes the array of risks and discomforts normally found in offices, conference rooms, and similar settings in public buildings, Work is usually performed in an adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated office setting.

Frequent travel is required. Given the nature of the job, work may be stressful due to short-fused tasking, data calls, and sensitive nature of Region assignments. Major Duties:

  • You will ensure enterprise strategic plans are incorporated into short-and-long-term region planning.
  • You will monitors the use/rate of expenditure against planned and allocated funds and prepares analysis for senior leadership.
  • You will represent the region on CNIC Cross Functional Teams (CFT's) and other tiger teams aimed at validating issues, analyzing data and providing recommendations.
