Summary

This job involves managing and advising on the multi-year budget for a U.S. cyber command unit, including planning, reviewing funding needs, and ensuring money is spent correctly.

About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f.

Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at Fort Meade, MD.

providing budgetary advisory and planning services to include researching financial issues and providing recommendations; 2.

interpreting regulations and policies to advise on organizational budget programs; 3. monitoring the status of funds obligation and expenditures for programs. Major Duties:

  • Performing a variety of duties in the planning, analysis, formulation, justification, presentation, execution, and review of the USCYBERCOM’s multi-year budget.
  • Reviewing and evaluating funding requirements.
  • Providing technical advice to program managers and budget analysts to higher echelons on all phases of the assigned budget processes.
  • Monitoring execution of current year budget activities and quarterly report requirements.
  • Recommending reprogramming of funds in relation to execution status.
  • Analyzing DA, DOD and USCYBERCOM policies, guidance, and reports to understand their meaning and impact to the major subordinate command's budget planning and execution.
