Full Job Description

1 vacancy in Kanawha County

This position performs full-performance, mathematical work related to the preparation, maintenance, and coordination of statewide budgets for a large state agency. Work requires assisting in the preparation and review of the Department's Expenditure Schedules and Appropriation Request, Budget narratives, and management level reporting for numerous state programs within the Departments of Health, Health Facilities, Human Resources, and the Office of Shared Administration. Advanced skills in computerization of worksheets, accounting, state level policies and procedures relative to the agency funding operation and interpretation of the WV Code and Budget Bill are utilized daily. This position also assists in the daily monitoring of all department fund and budget allocations and trains and advises spending unit fiscal staff.

Qualifications

Training: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in business administration, public administration, accounting, statistics, economics, finance, public policy analysis or related area.

OR

Substitution: Additional experience as described below may substitute for the required training at the rate of one (1) year experience for every thirty (30) semester hours of required training.

AND

Experience: Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in budget preparation, financial allocation or financial analysis.
