Full Job Description

This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency.

The incumbent will be responsible for serving as a Budget Analyst responsible for performing the total spectrum of programming, budgeting, execution, and review of the highly complex Security Cooperation (SC) programs to include a one-year, two-year, and x-year (no year) accounts.

This location is INDOPACOM. You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A.

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Serves as a Budget Analyst responsible for performing the total spectrum of programming, budgeting, execution, and review of the highly complex Security Cooperation (SC) programs to include a one-year, two-year, and x-year (no year) accounts.

Provide support to engagement with external partners including the Department of State (DoS), the Military Departments (MILDEPs), and the Geographic Combatant Commands (GCCs).

Develops recommendations to resource program manager's unplanned/unfunded requirements, funding adjustments for the successful execution of global SC programs to meet national and foreign policy objectives.

Performs qualitative and quantitative analysis and participates in periodic program reviews to determine progress against approved funding, schedules, and objectives.

Provides budget and financial management recommendations for the development of SC/SA administrative funding provided to the SC Enterprise.

Attends and participates in conferences and discussions in order to resolve questions, problems and stay abreast with updates within the field.

INFORMATION FOR Non Foreign Overseas tour of duty for is projected to be 36 months. PCS is authorized.

If you PCS'd at government expense within the past 12 months, additional government funded PCS may not be authorized; however, you may choose to pay your own moving expenses to the Non Foreign Location.

Most civilian PCS entitlements are now taxable.

The Relocation Income Tax Allowance (RITA) reimburses eligible employees for additional Federal, State, and local income taxes incurred because of receiving taxable travel income.

As a Budget Analyst at the GS-0560-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Performs budget formulation involving preparation of detailed analyses of annual and/or multi-year budget estimates for assigned organizations/programs into a consolidated budget request.

Performs budget execution and administration involving the monitoring of obligations incurred and the actual expenditures of a budget with different sources and types of funding.

Provides assistance and guidance on budgeting and related information. Conducts analyses, review and special studies of budget and/or related information.

Performs specialized individual economic analyses and impact studies in support of a variety of budget programs.
