WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position.
To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following: · Making recommendations to senior-level management and program managers on budget formulation and/or execution for an organization.
· Executing or formulating non-appropriated or working capital funds for an organization.
· Reviewing, tracking, controlling, and approving multiple types of funding sources in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Budget Analyst, you will use your knowledge of and experience with the Assistant Secretary for Administration to optimize business results and customer experience by: Performing complex budget formulation and execution activities for HHS programs or administrative budget areas, including monitoring obligations and expenditures, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and resolving complex budgetary issues.
Advising managers and program officials on budget planning and execution, including developing annual work plans, recommending reprogramming actions, and addressing changes in funding levels, program requirements, and legislative mandates.
Providing expert budgetary analysis and guidance by interpreting legislation and OMB guidance, developing multi-year budget estimates and cost-benefit analyses, and supporting agency interactions with OMB and Congress.
