Base salary range: $147,649 - $221,900

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves operating and maintaining boiler systems that generate steam for naval facilities, including starting up equipment, monitoring operations, and performing repairs on boilers that use oil or natural gas.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Knowledge, understanding, experience, and ability to assess and troubleshoot boiler systems that produce steam.
2) can independently start, operate, adjust, stop, maintain, and repair multiple-fuel (oil and natural gas) power boilers and associated auxiliary equipment.
3) monitors, adjusts, and controls all phases of boiler plant operations 4) Determines treatment and chemicals needed to control chemical concentrations and maintain stable water conditions in the boiler.
