THIS ANNOUNCEMENT WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL 5PM ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 21, 2026

This position is considered a hybrid position, however: The applicant selected for this position will be required to report 100% on site to the listed business address for the entirety of the training period which is designed to be six months but may be extended. After the training period is completed the supervisor may determine a hybrid reporting schedule with the employee.

This position will have a required schedule from 8:30AM to 5:00PM due to the customer service hours of the team.

This position will serve as the front line of communication to disseminate accurate information to injured workers, attorneys, insurance carriers, employers, and other interested parties regarding their rights and obligations under the Workers’ Compensation Statutes and Rules of Procedure; to serve in an early intervention capacity to facilitate the resolution of disputes between two parties; and to support other units with the Division of Workers’ Compensation by fielding questions regarding their area of expertise. Support is provided through the DOWC Customer Service Call Center and as front line staff at the public facing service desk. Fulfill claim copy requests to claim parties. Fulfill background search results to requesting parties. This position requires the incumbent to utilize fluent English/Spanish bilingual skills (speaking, reading, and writing) on an as-needed basis. This may include, but is not limited to, answering inquiries for DOWC or CDLE customers, participating as a panel member to evaluate Spanish speaking and writing skills for job applicants, and written translation of Division statutes, documents, forms and brochures from English to Spanish, and Spanish to English, for publication. It is expected that these skills will be required between 25% and 50% of regular work hours.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience Only:

Four and half (4.5) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position to include: workers' compensation duties and processes, risk management, claims adjusting or insurance industry.

Customer Service in a Call Center environment and/or Direct Customer Support through dedicated platforms involving intermediate to complex data entry


OR


Education and Experience:

A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to four and half (4.5) years


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Call Center Experience
  • Experience performing similar duties as a State of Colorado classified employee.
Conditions of Employment:
  • Must be a current resident of Colorado.
  • Must pass a thorough background check prior to employment which will include the E-Verify process.

  • Must be fluent (read, write, speak) in both English and Spanish.
