This role involves leading the financial and administrative side of a community college, overseeing teams in finance, procurement, and financial aid to keep everything running smoothly and legally.

Full Job Description

The Associate Vice President (AVP) is a senior leader in the Business and Finance Division, providing strategic oversight of the College’s financial and administrative operations to ensure fiscal stability, compliance, and effective resource stewardship. The AVP supervises Finance, Procurement, and Financial Aid; collaborates with IT and Campus Police & Security as directed; oversees required reporting; provides executive-level analysis to support decision-making; and serves as the Vice President’s designee as needed.

Requirements

A master's degree plus six (6) years of progressively responsible related work experience. In lieu of the required master's degree, certification as a CPA.

Qualifications

Prefer degree in Accounting/Business and previous experience in higher education and/or business-related enterprises. Desired qualifications include knowledge of higher education policies and procedures, federal and state tax laws, standard business practices, and grant funding; demonstrated leadership and management experience; ability to coordinate internal and external activities; and strong communication and collaboration skills, including working with agencies such as CHE, county governments, and state officials.
