Full Job Description

This is a non-merit temporary position. Candidates must follow the instructions in the "To Apply" section. Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise.

The Iowa Public Employees' Retirement System (IPERS) is seeking a Temporary Assistant to support the Chief Innovation Officer (CINO).

This role is essential in fostering a culture of innovation within the organization by providing administrative and analytical support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to the Chief Innovation Officer, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and preparing necessary documentation to support innovative projects.
  • Project Tracking: Assist in monitoring ongoing innovation initiatives and projects, ensuring deadlines are met and progress is effectively communicated to stakeholders.
  • Research and Document Review: Conduct research on relevant topics to inform innovation strategies, review documents, and provide insights that support decision-making processes.
  • Business Analysis: Analyze data and prepare reports on key metrics related to innovation initiatives, offering actionable recommendations to enhance project outcomes.

This is a temporary position limited to 780 hours per fiscal year. Work will be performed at the IPERS office.

Finalists will be subject to a background check.
