Summary

This job is for an administrator in the U.S. Army Reserve, where you'll handle tasks like supporting training, managing personnel records, and coordinating supplies and logistics at a base in Nebraska.

It's a civilian role but requires you to join the Army Reserve as a Soldier before starting.

About the Position: This is a Military Technician position with the 76th United States Army Reserve Operational Response Command, Strategic Command, 209th Regional Support Group located at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska This position requires an active membership as a Soldier in the Army Reserve before a start date can be set.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) providing administrative assistance support in one or more of the following areas: training, medical readiness, personnel actions, financial actions, supply, or logistics; 2) coordinate logistical and training support with internal personnel and/or organizations; and 3) prepare various written correspondence to be briefed to organizational personnel.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Business Administration, Strategic Management and Organizational Design and Development.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.

Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Attention to Detail Customer Service Decision Making Flexibility Integrity/Honesty Interpersonal Skills Learning Reading Comprehension Reasoning Self-Management Stress Tolerance Teamwork Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).

Major Duties:

  • Perform daily administrative functions in support of the organization’s readiness program.
  • Provide guidance to personnel on changes to organizational regulations and directives.
  • Utilize various automation systems to identify financial management program deficiencies.
  • Analyze account report system to maintain inventory.
  • Coordinate training programs for personnel in accordance with organizational directives and guidance.
  • Manage the travel program for the organization.
  • Provide pay guidance to organizational personnel.
