The current vacancy is with the Department of Accounting & General Services and Department of Health in Downtown.

Salary: $4,961 to $6,043 per month (SR-20, Step D to I)

Requirements

Independently performs professional archival work and assumes responsibility for the archival activities of a moderately large area of record groups or specialized work in an archival function; and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:

LEGAL AUTHORIZATION TO WORK:

The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.


Education: A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university which included a minimum of twelve (12) semester credit hours in one or a combination of the following: history, political science, or public administration.

Specialized Experience: One and one-half years ( 1 - 1/2) of progressively responsible experience in one or a combination of the fields described below:

A. Professional archival work dealing with non-current public records, documents, and historical records.
B. Professional library work maintaining an efficient reference service dealing with the fields of history, government documents and records, political science, public administration, or law.
C. Professional work formulating, installing, revising, or supervising a system of governmental records management.

Special Requirements: Some positions require the ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds and climb a five-step ladder unassisted. Department of Accounting and General Services has this requirement.
