This job involves planning and running educational programs to prevent underage drinking and promote safe alcohol use, while managing grants and ensuring organizations follow funding rules.
You'll work with teams, review applications, monitor spending, and visit sites to check compliance.

As an Alcohol Education Specialist, you will work directly with individuals to plan, design, and implement programs, trainings, and initiatives to reduce underage and dangerous drinking as well as promote responsible consumption by those of legal age to consume alcohol.
You will also be assisting the supervisor of the Bureau of Alcohol Education's Education and Grants Management Division to ensure its operations are conducted efficiently and effectively.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 4 days per week. You will be required to report one day per week to the Northwest Office Building in Harrisburg.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

You must pass a background investigation.
An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code.
