This job opportunity is for an AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR position, position description D1444000, within the 177 MAI SQ of the New Jersey Air National Guard.
This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position.
Its purpose is to provide overall direction and coordination of subordinate work activities within one of three major work functions (Aircraft Generation Division, and the Equipment Maintenance and the Component Repair Branches of the Aircraft Maintenance Division.
General Experience: Applicant must have experience operating within the following: Explain manuals and work procedures Prepare production records, work records, and reports Organize assignments for subordinates, estimate material, and manpower SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 36 months of the following specialized experience: Journeyman level knowledge Equipment and techniques to new situations Various lines of work performed by this function Review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines Ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel Major Duties:
- As an AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR, WS-8801-14, you will: Resolve grievances and ensures proper corrective action is taken Recommend promotion or reassignment of subordinate supervisors Readiness evaluations, inspections, and command support exercises Plan the overall allocation of personnel, funding, and equipment resources Ensure that subordinates wear appropriate safety equipment and follow safety precautions Perform other Duties as Assigned
