Full Job Description

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT LOADMASTER (INSTRUCTOR) (TITLE32), Position Description Number D1632000 and is part of the NC ANG, National Guard (ANG-156 AS / 107184634).

Military Grades: Enlisted (SrA/E4 to MSgt/E7) General Experience: Experience in functions such as preparing aircraft loading plans, loading and offloading aircraft, operating loading equipment, and ensuring security of cargo in flight Major Duties:

  • As an AIRCRAFT LOADMASTER INSTRUCTOR, GS-2181-10, you will conducts loadmaster training to ensure worldwide capability; provide direct assistance to the aircraft Pilot; performs preflight inspection of the interior and exterior of the aircraft, to include engines, fuselage, and control surfaces for mechanical and structural soundness; review aircraft maintenance documentation and ensure aircraft maintenance status complies with the command operating restrictions and the applicable flight manual; during all aircraft operations, monitors engine and aircraft system performance, analyzes instrument readings, and identifies abnormal indications or system malfunctions; accomplish loadmaster functions; prior to flight, accomplishes preflight checks, inspection, acceptance, and operation of all aircraft loading equipment, and systems; develop and certify cargo load plans considering quantity, weight, configuration, floor capacity, compartment restrictions and proper location within the aircraft to achieve the optimum center of gravity; ascertain fuel, passenger and cargo weights; brief passengers on flight itinerary, use of emergency equipment, emergency exits, and procedures for egress, oxygen use, life preservers, electronic devices and movement about the aircraft before, during and after flight; perform staff work based on specialized knowledge of the unit's mission, assigned aircraft and the related programs to ensure safe and successful accomplishment of required training, assigned mission support and airlift support requirements.
