This job involves inspecting and evaluating military aircraft systems, like hydraulics and mechanical parts, to ensure they meet safety and performance standards before and after repairs.
The role requires hands-on expertise in troubleshooting issues, reviewing technical documents, and advising teams on fixes at a naval maintenance facility in California.

You will serve as an Aircraft Examiner (Aircraft Mechanic) in the MRO Production Department, Production Lines Division of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO INSPECT: 1) Examining, evaluating, and analyzing the condition of aircraft hydraulic, pneudraulic, and other mechanical systems, components, and accessories; 2) Determining the induction configuration and establishing which technical directives must be accomplished to produce the required product configuration; 3) Providing technical advice and guidance to production personnel, support organizations, and customers regarding the examination and evaluation results; 4) Applying working knowledge of key examination and evaluation processes such as, induction, aircraft inventory, system evaluation troubleshooting, logbook review, technical directive review, and application of engineering specifications; 5) Ensuring products are reworked within technical specifications and meet labor and material requirements by applying the most appropriate and effective examination and evaluation methods; 6) Using state-of-the art hardware and operate computer data management programs in order to navigate through software directories and filing system and understanding various file extensions (e.g.
ADCS, MRO, JDRS, CONOPS, etc.); and 7) Interpreting information from various sources such as blueprints, engineering specifications, and technical directives to accomplish work tasks.
