This job involves leading a team to maintain and repair aircraft arresting gear systems at a naval air station, ensuring everything runs smoothly to support safe aircraft landings and takeoffs.
It requires hands-on mechanical work like engine tune-ups, parts replacements, and emergency responses to keep runways operational.

You will serve as a AIRCRAFT ARRESTING GEAR SYSTEMS REPAIRER FOREMAN in the Naval Air Station North Island of NB CORONADO.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

The Screen-out Element for this position is:1) Applying mechanical skills to understand charts, diagrams and maintenance manuals; 2) Conducting engine tune-ups/adjustments and timing engines according to established specifications; and 3) Maintaining related logs and maintenance schedule charts for assigned equipment to maintain compliance with service record changes and service bulletins.
