This National Guard position is for a AIR OPERATION GROUP TRAINING SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1931000 and is part of the Florida National Guard.
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C.
709" and is open to Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard; and Category 4: All individuals who qualify for membership in the Florida National Guard and are willing to become T32 Dual Status technicians.
First consideration will be given to Category 1. PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, MAY be authorized.
Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.
Recruitment / Relocation: Incentive MAY be authorized. ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.
FLARNG BUS Code NG5022: This position is "included" in the bargaining unit and eligible for labor organization representation.
The current exclusive representative is The Association of Civilian Technicians, Chapter 86 and the President is Mr. Robert Morgan at rmorgan@actnat.com.
Recruitment Incentive: May be paid to the candidate who is "newly appointed" into this federal government position. The bonus will be NTE $10,000.
Payment will be a lump sum payment at the beginning of employment.
The candidate must agree in writing to remain in this position for a minimum of 12 months, and if they vacate that position for another technician, AGR or active-duty service position within the initial 12-month period, the Incentive may be recouped.
Current onboard technicians, if selected, are not eligible for this bonus.
Military Grades: Enlisted: E5 thru E7 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have demonstrated the ability to follow directions, read, understand, and retain instructions, regulations, and procedures that otherwise validate the ability to perform or learn to perform the duties of the position.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:GS09 Must have at least one year of specialized experiences at the GS-07 level or the equivalent which provided knowledge of Army or Air Force education and training programs regarding their principles and procedures.
Experience in performing interviews and counseling techniques; training techniques and instruction methods; task analysis procedures, learning processes, curriculum development, training evaluations, and education and training systems and products; effective writing skills; editing practices; instructional media application, training reporting, program and curriculum validation, and implementation procedures.
Experience in scheduling training events and facilities; supporting assistance visits and training meetings; or assisting in work center and individual job qualification standard development; education institution registration requirements; and military personnel classification system and policies.
Experience in the capabilities of communicative interpersonal skill applications and distance learning concepts.
Experience as a participant and presenter during training and military or civilian conference events. Major Duties:
As an Air Operation Group Training Specialist, GS-1702-09, you will oversees, monitor, and evaluate military /ancillary training requisites for the unit.
This includes on-the-job training (OJT) and formal training, including Air Operations Center (AOC) formal schools acquisition and scheduling.
Subject matter areas for which training is administered involve a wide variety of technical, professional, clerical, and operational skills commonly found in an Air Operations Group organization.
Advises the Commander, training officers, and supervisors on the status, progress, and programming of training. Plans, compiles, and forwards training projections to Host Wing and NGB, MAJCOM agencies.
Monitors and reviews all training applications to ensure the proper documentation, justification, and qualifications.
Coordinates with higher headquarters on matters pertaining to formal school training quotas. Identifies resources and funding requirements to accomplish required training.
