Requirements

In this Aging Care Manager 2 you will act as one of the main Protective Service Care Managers for our program.

This position is expected to become state certified to perform protective service investigations and will be responsible for ensuring all state regulations on policy and procedures for protective services are followed.

Your work will involve receiving reports of need for protective services, investigating reports received, and assessing the needs of each person, then developing and coordinating the implementation of service plans to provide help and support to meet each person’s needs.

This includes collaborating with other agencies and conducting educational seminars for providers and organizations involved in fulfilling the care plans you help establish.

You will also participate in our on-call rotation to ensure our team can respond to protective service referrals after normal working hours on an on-call basis.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This position also participates in the Protective Services Staff on call rotation. This includes $250 on call pay, with an additional $50 if a holiday falls within the same week.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as an Aging Care Manager 1 or a County Caseworker 1; or
  • Successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program; or
  • Six months of professional human services or nursing experience; and a bachelor’s degree in social sciences, behavioral sciences, human services, or a closely related field; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
