The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Operations Directorate (NC J3) primary technical expert on Task Management Tool (TMT) workflow management and administrative taskers in the Organization Management Box (OMB).

Provides Combatant Command-level technical and subject matter expertise.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE - CURRENT/PREVIOUS FEDERAL EMPLOYEES Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems.

Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge to perform a variety of analytical assignments concerned with assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of operations, developing innovative proposals for improving and streamlining the administrative processes of the division.

Knowledge of administrative practices and procedures common to organizations, such as those pertaining to areas of responsibility, channels of communication, delegation of authority, routing of correspondence, filing systems, and storage of files and records.

Professional-level knowledge and proficiency in editing executive-level narrative content on documents and studies and reviewing briefings and graphics that accompany staff packages.

Knowledge of Department of Defense personnel and physical security policies and regulations.

Knowledge of a broad range of security program relationships, and proficiency in information, personnel, and industrial security to effectively coordinate with other specialized security programs.

Responds to routine and technical request for administrative information.

Experience establishing internal guidance on security processes and procedures for processing requests for security clearances for military and civilian personnel, maintaining individual security forms.

One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.

NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1.Knowledge of the principles, policies and practices of the substantive nature of the agency's/command's mission, functions, programs, activities, goals, objectives, training principles and processes.

Knowledge of physical, information and industrial security principles and practices to effectively implement and administer applicable security programs in a multi-layered organization with civilian and military personnel.

Knowledge of security classification methods, concepts and eligibility for personnel access to classified or sensitive information.

2.Skill in the office automation programs such as Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.

3.Ability to summarize information and communicate in written and oral form in support of leadership requirements.

4.Ability to gather, assemble and analyze facts and draw conclusions, conduct analysis, devise recommended solutions and package the entire process in briefings, papers or reports suitable for top management use and decision-making.

Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written.

5.Ability to negotiate complex issues and to maintain effective relationships with management officials, co-workers, customers, and others to ensure cooperative resolution of problems.

6.Ability to work in a fast-paced, operations-focused environment supporting senior military officers and civilians at a CCMD Headquarters.

Ability to multi-task and set priorities under time constraints with minimum supervisory oversight. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.

You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Major Duties:

Directorate Task Management Coordinator. Assists the NC J3 office leadership in the coordination and completion of their duties.

Administers the Personnel Security Program for the NC J37 Operations Support Division and assigned Liaison Officers (LNO) from other CCMDs (Combatant Commands), components and subordinates.

Establishes NC J37 internal guidance on security processes and procedures for processing requests for security clearances for military and civilian personnel, maintaining individual security forms for over 40 personnel.
