See below for important information regarding this job. To qualify for an Administrative Support Assistant, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position.

To qualify at the GS-07level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector.

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.

Creditable specialized experience includes: Providing administrative support and assistance in the development, implementation, and maintenance of plans, programs, and procedures relating to functions of the organization.

Communicating information across multiple command levels and across various agencies, both verbally and in writing.

Administering electronic records systems and databases to compile reports; produce spreadsheets, charts, and graphs; and prepare correspondence.

Gathering, consolidating, and coordinating data to ensure information and format are accurate for the final product. B.

Education: As a general rule, education is not creditable above GS-5 for most positions covered by this standard; however, graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

  • Administers various programs including, but not limited to award and retirement ceremonies, employeeappreciation functions, holiday parties, and Moral, Welfare, Recreation (MWR) events.
  • Provides administrative support and assistance to the office in the development, implementation and maintenance of plans, programs and procedures relating to functions of the organization.
  • Manages multiple high-profile projects and programs while consistently meeting mandated suspense deadlines.
  • Coordinates, collects, compiles, evaluates, and presents information and statistical data extracted from documents, records, forms, reports, and policies.
  • Prepares recurring reports and correspondence by compiling and consolidating information, and properly formatting drafts and final documents.
  • Compiles statistical data, verifies computations, arranges data in proper format, and prepares descriptive reports.
  • Assists visitors, coordinates special meetings, and conducts initial planning and set-up of conferences.
