The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Division of Community Access, Bureau of Collections is seeking an Administrative Support Assistant 3 to join our team!
Join our dynamic team at the Central Regional Child Support Program in Marshalltown, Iowa, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of families.
We're seeking an exceptional individual who is respectful, positive, and passionate about supporting families throughout their child support journey.
As a valuable member of our office team, you'll handle administrative duties and casework, including paternity establishment, support modification, enforcement, and monitoring.
In this role, you'll engage with customers who may have reservations about their child support obligations.
Strong customer service skills and effective communication with diverse community partners are vital to achieving the program's goals.
You'll provide information, answer questions, and collaborate with human service agencies, attorneys, court clerks, sheriffs, employers, and other stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will involve specialized technical and clerical work, supporting local program objectives to ensure statewide success. Using internet resources, databases, and automated systems, you'll assist with tasks related to establishment, enforcement, and location activities.
To thrive in this position, you must possess the ability to comprehend and apply complex instructions, including federal, state, and local laws, policies, and procedures specific to child support.
We're looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Hours, Work Location and Requirements:
This is a full-time opportunity, Monday – Friday with typical hours being from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Upon successful completion of the training period and with management approval, this position offers a hybrid work opportunity, working from the office as scheduled, and from home.
