Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves helping Iowa educators with getting, renewing, and managing their teaching licenses by handling applications, answering questions, and keeping records organized.
You'll be the main contact for teachers reaching out via phone, email, or in person, while also suggesting ways to make processes smoother.
It's a great fit for someone detail-oriented who enjoys supporting education and working independently in a team setting.

We are looking to find a highly qualified staff member to serve as an Administrative Support Assistant 3 in the Bureau of Educational Examiners.
This person will provide key support and communication with educators in the state of Iowa regarding their Education Licensure. Desired qualifications include:
Your Responsibilities:
Be a key point of contact for Iowa educators seeking license issuance, renewal and extensions.
Receives/screens visitors, emails and telephone calls; answers routine questions and routes others to the appropriate staff person for handling.
Intake and evaluate license applications. Determine eligibility based on established code and administrative rules and bureau procedures. Issue accurate licenses to the field.
Opens/distributes mail; composes standardized responses to routine inquiries.
Support division-wide processes, policies and procedures, in collaboration with our teams.
Recommend new or improved procedures for standardizing, modernizing and simplifying processes that help to improve outcomes and collaboration between staff.
Assist in management of confidential data and information.
