This job involves leading a team in one of three areas—finance, caseflow management, or customer service—within a court clerk's office to support judicial operations and serve the public.
The role focuses on directing staff, ensuring smooth processes, and maintaining high standards of service and compliance.
It's a good fit for experienced supervisors who enjoy mentoring teams in a busy, public-facing environment and have a background in administrative or court-related work.

Also known as the Superior Court Clerk's Office, DJA conducts a variety of services for the Court, litigants, and the general public.
Our mission is to provide high-quality court record services and justice system programs to ensure access to justice and the integrity of the process.
The position:We are looking for three Administrative Specialists that will lead teams in the Finance, Caseflow, and Customer Service Divisions of the department.
Each of these positions will be responsible for leading a team of employees who deliver court services and administrative support to the judicial branch and their customers.
This posting will be used to fill Career Service, Term Limited Temporary and Special Duty positions.
The Caseflow Division ensures efficient progression of cases through the court system.
The Customer Service Division handles inquiries from the public, attorneys, and others regarding court records, filings, schedules, fees, and general procedural questions. It plays a key role in ensuring access to court resources and upholding service standards.
The Financial Services Division manages all financial transactions and records, ensures compliance with state and county mandates, and supports court operations through specialized processes.

Work Location: These positions will be based at a primary location either the King County Courthouse located at 401 Fourth Avenue N, Kent, or King County Courthouse, 516 3rd Avenue, Seattle but may be required to work or attend meetings at other locations.
Work Schedule: The usual work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 40 hours per week.
This position is non-exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and therefore is overtime eligible.

Directing Work: Prioritize assignments, provide directions and monitor the quality and quantity of work.
Scheduling: Plan and coordinate section and court assignments.
Training: Train, coach, and mentor a diverse group of staff in a fast-paced environment. Coordinate training plans and maintain training resources.
Workplace Culture & Team Support: Contribute to a positive and productive work environment. Must possess effective conflict management skills. Solve problems with effective solutions and ideas.
Customer Focus: Ensure the team provides excellent service to internal and external customers. Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
