Summary

This job involves organizing and managing official visits, ceremonies, and events for high-level government and international guests at a Navy command in San Diego.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST in the PROTOCOL & COMMAND VISITS SUPPORT (85400) of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band NO-03 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning and executing official visits and ceremonies for senior and foreign dignitaries; managing protocol requirements, guest lists, media coordination, invitations, signage, and consulate notifications; analyzing visit data, improving event processes, and maintaining visit-related policy files.

  • You will serve as an experienced protocol, visits/meeting coordinator, corporate communications advisor, and to co-lead for both the technical and organizational aspects of the NIWC Pacific command visits program.
  • You will analyze and interpret requirements and secures essential data from sponsoring contacts as available. Coordinate requests made by contacts of other agencies.
  • You will plan visits to precisely fit the needs of each case considering the particulars of protocol, visitor’s country (if non-domestic), position cultures, etc.
  • You will ensure all operations are officially carried out IAW established guidelines and executes duties to meet program requirements.
  • You will analyze information gained from association with, and knowledge of occurrences of various programs, visitors, visits past and pending, etc.
