About the Position: The Military Entrance Processing Station plays a vital role in maintaining the nation's military might by ensuring that each new member of the Armed Forces: Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Space Force & Coast Guard; meets the high mental, moral & medical standards required by the DoD & the military services.

Every MEPS represents state of the art in testing, examining & processing applicants for enlistment into the Armed Forces. This position is a permanent position.

Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled including: Utilizing an automated system to maintain data (i.e., hand receipts, supporting files, property book transactions); Following established procedures to assist in the maintenance of supplies or property; Utilizing a company credit card to obtain supplies and services; Assisting with fleet vehicle management (i.e.

coordinating vehicle pickup, maintenance, dispatch, and return).

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).

If you are a current Federal employee, you must include your pay plan, series and grade in your work experience(s) on your resume submission and/or upload supporting documentation (within-grade increase SF50) to show that you meet the time-in-grade requirement.

In addition, if your step reflects '00', you must include your current salary for each position. Major Duties:

  • Coordinate vehicle pickup, maintenance, dispatch, and turn-in operations.
  • Schedule equipment maintenance, calibration, and repairs as needed.
  • Serve as Primary Government Purchasing Card Agent for the organization.
  • Implement Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans to ensure proper handling and compliance for all hazardous materials.
  • Maintains purchase logs to document card transactions accurately.
  • Monitors agreements by evaluating performance against contract specifications to uphold organizational standards.
