Base salary range: $51,332 - $66,732

GS-9: To be qualified at the GS-9 grade level in federal service, you must meet at least ONE of the following conditions, as defined below: Specialized Experience, Education, OR a combination of Education and Experience.
Specialized Experience: At least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 grade level in federal service .
Specialized experience is defined as experience monitoring or controlling the budget; analyzing technology in relation to support service needs; and providing administrative support services in areas such as space management, purchasing supplies and equipment, security, mail, records, reproduction services, office automation, information management, and communications hardware and software.
OR Education: One of the following types of education in a related field (e.g., Accounting, Business Administration, Financial Management, etc.): a Master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B.
or J.D., if related.
Education at the graduate level must be in an accredited college or university and must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position.
OR Combining Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements.
In order to qualify based on a combination, graduate education must be in excess of 1 full year.
GS-11: In order to qualify for the GS-11 level, you must meet at least one of the following conditions as defined below: Specialized Experience, Education, OR a Combination of Education and Experience.
Specialized Experience: Must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level in Federal service .Specialized experience includes formulating, justifying, and monitoring the execution of an office budget; reviewing requisitions, products and services; identifying cost-benefit relationships between budget and program goals; and analyzing and making recommendations to support service functions in areas such as space management, purchasing supplies and equipment.
OR Education: One of the following types of education in a related field (e.g., Accounting, Business Administration, Financial Management, etc.) Ph.D.
or equivalent doctoral degree OR three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M, if related.
OR Combining Education and Experience: Must illustrate a combination of specialized experience as described in A and graduate education as described in B which when combined equal 100% of the requirements (only graduate education in excess of 2 full years is creditable) Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)- The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies.

If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team in the Administrative Division that is responsible for overseeing and/or providing a wide variety of administrative support services to the district in most or all of the following areas: Procurement, Records Management, Budget, Facilities, and other miscellaneous support services.
As an Administrative Services Specialist typical work assignments will include: Responsible for administering a variety of routine USAO procurement activities.
Serves as the office purchasing agent using the Government Purchase Card (GPC) or other authorized method for supplies and equipment.
Develop procurement plans by reviewing previous history and market conditions.
Responsible for maintaining and administering a variety of budget and financial management activities, including the monitoring of expenditures for all open acquisition obligations.
Coordinates a variety of facility maintenance and/or repair activities for the USAO workspace.
Promotes and coordinates an effective records management program with USAO managers and employees by providing training and guidance.
Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
