Requirements

In this position, you will serve as a Grants Administrator for the Office of Veterans Affairs (DMVA-OVA) including but not limited to the Veterans' Trust Fund, the Veteran Service Officer Grant Program, and various veterans' programs and initiatives.

Your work in this role will support the efforts of the DMVA-OVA Grants manager by ensuring grants are administered correctly.

This will include analyzing data from grant recipients to ensure details such as expenditures, services, and number of veterans served are aligned with the intent of the grant.

You will also evaluate the quality and efficiency of grant programs, as well as review and track the performance measures of the grants.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, 5 out of every 10 days.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Jonestown. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as an Administrative Officer 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.


Additional Requirement:

  • You must possess a valid federal or state-issued photo ID and pass a favorable NCIC screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):
  • Grant work experience
