Midlands Technical College’s Corporate and Continuing Education (CCE) Division is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking contract instructor to deliver high-impact instruction in Artificial Intelligence, with a specialization in guidance for business professionals. This role prepares professionals, entrepreneurs, and organizational leaders to understand, evaluate, and implement modern AI solutions within their industries. Help equip learners with practical knowledge of generative AI, automation tools, AI strategy, and responsible implementation practices. You will join a dynamic team committed to excellence, innovation, and workforce transformation in a rapidly evolving digital economy.

What You’ll Do:
Develop and deliver engaging, practical instruction aligned with current industry standards and emerging AI technologies, with emphasis on:
  • Foundations of Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI
  • Large Language Models (LLMs) and Multimodal Systems
  • AI Applications in Business Strategy, Operations, Marketing, and Customer Experience
  • Prompt Engineering and AI Workflow Optimization
  • AI Ethics, Governance, Risk, and Responsible Use
  • Emerging AI Tools, Platforms, and Enterprise Integration

Stay current with advancements across generative AI models, agent-based systems, automation platforms, and enterprise AI solutions to ensure course content reflects the most up-to-date developments. Translate complex technical AI concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences while also demonstrating the ability to deliver more technically rigorous instruction when required.

Teach technical AI-focused courses as needed, which may include foundational AI concepts, model capabilities and limitations, data workflows, AI system integration, and applied tool implementation.

Support cohort-based and workshop-style learning environments tailored to business professionals, technical learners, and organizational teams. Assess participant performance and provide feedback to ensure applied understanding and practical skill development. Collaborate with college leadership and industry partners to maintain instructional quality, relevance, and alignment with employer needs.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Professional experience working with Artificial Intelligence, particularly generative AI technologies and AI-enabled business solutions.
  • Strong understanding of current AI models, tools, platforms, and emerging trends across the generative AI ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach both business-focused AI applications and more technical AI concepts to varied audiences.
  • Experience implementing AI solutions in business, industry, consulting, or organizational settings.
  • Experience delivering technical content to non-technical audiences, including executives, managers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Prior teaching, training, consulting, or workshop facilitation experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for empowering professionals to confidently adopt and responsibly leverage AI.
  • Flexibility to teach varying schedules based on program offerings and organizational demand.
This position is located across Midlands Technical College campuses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, computer science, data science, information systems, education, communication, or a related field; OR equivalent professional experience demonstrating strong applied knowledge of AI and digital technologies.
  • At least 2–3 years of hands-on experience using, implementing, or teaching modern AI tools (e.g., generative AI platforms, automation tools, analytics platforms, or AI-enabled business systems).
  • Demonstrated ability to teach, train, or support learners, either formally or informally, this may include workshops, team training, consulting, mentoring, or internal enablement.
  • Practical experience applying AI to real business problems (e.g., workflow automation, content generation, process optimization, data-driven decision-making, customer experience enhancements).
  • Ability to translate AI concepts for non-technical learners, simplifying complex ideas into clear, user-friendly, actionable guidance.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise with current generative AI tools and ecosystems (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Midjourney, automation agents, or enterprise AI platforms).
  • Experience designing or facilitating workshops, corporate training, continuing education programs, or adult-learning experiences, online or in person.
  • Experience integrating AI into business processes, service delivery, operations, or strategic planning.
  • Familiarity with AI governance, ethical use guidelines, prompt engineering, and workflow automation best practices.
  • Professional certifications in AI, cloud technologies, digital transformation, analytics, or related fields (preferred, not required).
  • Ability to adapt instruction for varying levels, from beginners seeking practical use cases to more technical learners seeking deeper applied understanding.

Additional Information

Compensation is based on qualifications and relevant certifications, ranging from $65 to $80 per hour.
