Base salary range: $147,649 - $221,900

Job Description

Summary

This role involves teaching physics classes at a community college, such as introductory or lab-based courses, while evaluating student progress through tests, assignments, and feedback.

It also requires keeping accurate records and following school rules on teaching and student behavior.

Ideal candidates are physics experts with a master's degree and some teaching background, especially those who enjoy helping beginners grasp science concepts.

Full Job Description

Teach assigned physics courses (e.g., College Physics, General Physics, Conceptual Physics, or Physics with Lab) in accordance with approved course outlines and learning objectives.

Assess student learning through exams, quizzes, labs, homework, and other assignments; provide timely and constructive feedback.

Maintain accurate academic records, including attendance and grades, in compliance with college policies.

Adhere to college policies related to instruction, assessment, academic integrity, and student conduct.

Requirements

Master’s degree in physics or a closely related field OR Master’s degree in a related discipline with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Physics.
