Job Description
Summary
This job is for a part-time teacher at a community college who will lead classes and hands-on lab sessions on human body structure and function for students aiming for careers in healthcare like nursing.
It's ideal for someone with advanced knowledge in biology or related fields who enjoys explaining complex science topics in an engaging way to help students succeed.
The role involves following set lesson plans, grading work, and using online tools to track student progress.
Key Requirements
- Master’s degree in Anatomy & Physiology, Biology, Health Sciences, or a closely related field
- Or a master’s degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in biology, anatomy, physiology, or related coursework
- Ability to teach lecture and/or laboratory courses in Anatomy & Physiology I and/or II on campus
- Proficiency in developing and administering assessments such as quizzes, exams, and lab practicals
- Experience maintaining accurate attendance and grading records
- Familiarity with using the D2L Learning Management System
- Commitment to following departmental syllabi, learning outcomes, and college policies
